We’re a small company, and we don’t pretend to have all the answers. But we take seriously our responsibility to make drinks in a way that respects the land, the people we work with, and the communities we’re part of.
Ingredients
We source as locally as possible. Our elderflower comes from Kent, our brambles from Sussex, and our rosemary from our own kitchen garden. Where we can’t source from the UK - like our organic cane sugar - we work with certified fair-trade suppliers.
We never use artificial flavourings, colourings, or preservatives. What’s on the label is what’s in the bottle.
Packaging
Our bottles are 100% recyclable glass. We chose glass over cans because it’s endlessly recyclable without degradation and, honestly, because it feels right for what we make.
Our labels are printed on FSC-certified paper with vegetable-based inks. Our outer packaging is unbleached recycled cardboard - no plastic tape, no polystyrene, no shrink wrap.
Production
Fermentation is inherently low-energy - the cultures do the work, not machines. Our workshop runs on a 100% renewable energy tariff. We minimise water waste by reusing rinse water across production cycles.
We produce in small batches by design, not just for quality but because overproduction is waste. We’d rather sell out than throw away.
What’s next
We’re working on a bottle return scheme with our London stockists - bring back your empties, and we’ll wash and reuse them. We’re also exploring compostable labels and lighter-weight glass to reduce our transport footprint.
We’ll share updates here as we make progress. No greenwashing, no vague pledges - just honest updates on what we’re actually doing.
